Monarch Outcome Research 2007 -
Quick Response
Monarch Center is proud to be in collaboration with the Psychology Department at Colorado College in Colorado Springs. Students in this program will be doing ongoing outcomes research with families who have left Monarch and have agreed to participate in the study. The research was conducted by taking pre and post evaluations of students and parents. The researchers used valid and reliable surveys (Conners' Parent Rating Scale, Conners-Wells' Self Report Scale, and Family Adaptability and Cohesion Evaluation Scale) to measure improvements.

  1. Parent and student reports showed improvement across the board on behavioral, emotional and attentional issues.

    - Significant improvements were noted in student reported family problems and attention problems as well as parent reported oppositional behavior, emotional behavior and attentional behavior.

    - Our treatment was also found to help reduce clinical range problems back into average range.
